Announcement:
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative position of HR Assistant.

Position Description:
In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this position works under general direction and provides support services to Human Resources (HR) activities to help ensure efficient HR operations. Work involves performing a wide variety of administrative duties which require the application of sound judgement and the interpretation of written policies and regulations on the basis of training and knowledge gained through experience on the job. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.

Qualifications:
1. Associate's degree in a related field is required.
2. Minimum of three (3) years' work experience in HR/related field is required. Experience in a higher education human resources department is preferred.
3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Experience with PeopleSoft, HRIS or ATS systems is preferred.
4. Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to hire.

Salary:
Salary Grade 1 on the Administrative Pay Scale, ranging from $37,550 to $46,950 per year.
