Job Description


ANNOUNCEMENT:  Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the SWIC Educational Employee full-time, union position of Campus Support Specialist .

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this is varied technical work which involves complex work methods and problems.  Work involves performing a wide variety of functions requiring the application of independent judgment and the interpretation of college policies and regulations on the basis of training and knowledge gained through work experience.  Work involves considerable direct contact with students, faculty, college employees and outside parties to include industries and civic community organizations.  Provides assistance pertaining to the coordination, and scheduling of business training programs.  Ability to perform with a minimum of supervision.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
  1. High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  2. Three years of experience in clerical and secretarial work is required.  Work experience in an academic organization is preferred.  
  1. Ability to demonstrate computer literacy in word processing, database and spreadsheet management is required.  
 
SALARY:  $33,807 annually, 37.5 hours per week.
