We are currently hiring for the Facilities/Purchasing Supervisor position that would be based out of our Belleville, IL office.
 
Summary Facilities/Purchasing Supervisor Position:
  • Position Summary: The Facilities/Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for ordering, maintaining and distribution of all supplies and equipment for patients and staff.  The Facilities/Purchasing Supervisor is also responsible for management of facility building, grounds, and equipment.
  • To be considered for the position, prior experience in facility management is required.
  • Pay: $64,480.00 Annually.
  • Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. with the possibility of some evening and weekend calls regarding maintenance emergencies or issues.
  • Location: Will work at the Hospice of Southern Illinois Administration Building located at 305 South Illinois Street, Belleville, IL 62220. This is not a remote position.  Will also need to periodically visit the Patient Services Building located at 204 North Halfway Road, Marion, IL 62959.Hospice of Southern Illinois is certified by the State of Illinois and is in compliance with the registration requirements of the Illinois Equal Pay Act.

Position Requirements
a.       Education
1. Graduate from an accredited high school
b.      Experience
1.       Prior experience in facility management required.
2.       Prior experience in purchasing preferred.
c.       Other Qualifications
1.          Ability to analyze problems and perform duties necessary to maintain facilities.
2.           Good organizational and communication skills.
3.           Accurate and neat with paperwork.
4.           Ability to access organizational supply needs and make appropriate orders.
 
Physical Requirements: Performs repetitive tasks.  Prolonged periods of sitting and of other appropriately.  Requires clarity of vision >20 inches and <20 feet.  Manual dexterity (eye/hand coordination).  Hears alarm and telephone.  Bending at waist and knee frequently.  Required lifting up to 60 pounds occasionally.
 
 Working Conditions: The Facilities/Purchasing Supervisor spends approximately 90% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposure to excessive humidity and noise.  The remaining 10% of his/her time is spent in various non-air-conditioned climates with varying exposure to humidity and noise.
 
 
Essential Functions of the Facilities/Purchasing Supervisor Position
  1. Ability to oversee and coordinate building maintenance, repairs, and upkeep.
  2. Ensures facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.
  3. Manage and schedule routine inspections and maintenance tasks.  Effectively troubleshoot problems related to mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.  Oversee and coordinate new construction projects.
  4. Effectively identify needs and cost for future repairs and upgrades.
  5. Able to identify environmental risk regarding facilities operations and maintenance. Ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  6. Select, coordinate, and manage relationships with vendors and contractors.  Negotiate contracts. 
  7. Effectively monitors and reports on operational expenses.
  8. Demonstrates the ability to order and distribute office supplies and equipment in a timely manner.
  9. Effectively self-prioritizes, manages time efficiently and is able to multitask.
  10. Ability to process purchase orders and invoices in a timely manner.
  11. Knowledge of collection and disposal processes for filled sharp containers per OSHA guidelines.
  12. Effectively anticipates medical supply needs for timely delivery of adequate inventory at all locations.
  13. Ability to hire, train, supervise, and evaluate employees at multiple locations.
  14. Collaborate with leadership on planning and coordinating space allocations and utilization.  Manage and coordinate renovations and upgrades.
  15. Knowledge of code compliance in each municipality in which facilities are located.
  16. Knowledge of safety processes and procedures.  Ensures facilities and grounds are safe, secure, and compliant with safety regulations. 
  17. Able to implement emergency preparedness plan in the event of organizational emergencies.
  18. Effectively identifies opportunities for cost savings.   
  19. Demonstrates the ability to forecast and maintain organizational facilities operations, maintenance, and repair budgets in addition to office and medical supply budgets.
  20. Ensures organizational fleet vehicles are maintained appropriately.
